“I’d always heard the words "peals of laughter" but never experienced it until a recent A Season Away visit to Italy. The dictionary describes a peal as set of bells tuned to each other and this was exactly it. Except it wasn’t bells, it was the synchronized laughter of my children and their cousins having a ball in the pool of our villa... it’s interesting to me, when I talk to my children about that time, they thought the villa was great, but what my kids remember most about Italy was getting re-acquainted with their cousins in non-stop fun outdoors and being in a land where they had to use hand signals to communicate at the local store because they didn’t know a lick of Italian... they keep asking when we can go back...”
