VillaHost
Before our guests arrive, the VillaHosts get to know them and are able to present them with wonderful experiences based on what interests them. We want to make our guests feel like they are part of the fabric of our communities rather than tourists just peeking in for a moment. Their experiences are real, genuine to the culture and personally meaningful.

I’m English, married not to a Frenchman, but a Burgundian!
You may not think this makes a difference, but believe me, here in Burgundy it does – they are very proud to be Burgundian and quite rightly too, as it is a wonderful region, steeped in history and tradition, and a place I now call home. Having first come to Burgundy some 14 years ago to learn French, I met a very nice and kind French teacher, who is now my husband!
Having spent many childhood summers on holiday in France, my love affair with France started a long time ago as did my passion for travel and tourism, and shaped my choice to study travel and tourism at university in England, before spending time working in Paris at the United Nations. I then moved down to Burgundy to be with my winemaker husband, and work in my passion: travel and tourism.
I love working for A Season Away as their VillaHost here, as I enjoy being able to share my passion for my adopted home with others. This means showing them the little hideaways, hidden paths and gems they wouldn’t otherwise find.
I also would like to think that because of my family connections I have certain “keys” to unlock this wine loving region and am able to get you to places not normally open to the average tourist.
But being a VillaHost is far more than digging beneath the surface; it is also being adept at quietly seeing what needs to be done to make your experience truly special and taking care of it before you even need to ask; and, of course, creating an unforgettable experience for you your family or friends.
I love this area and can’t wait to share the best Burgundy has to offer!
